Tasting Notes

  • Based on 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, the 2023 offers chocolaty red and black fruits intermixed with leafy herbs, tobacco, and additional chocolate notes. It’s full-bodied and plush on the palate, with moderate acidity, the classic tannic structure of the appellation, and a great finish. This is a solid, well-made Diamond Mountain District Cabernet Sauvignon that should drink well over the coming 12-15 years.

Lots of black fruits, roasted herbs, tobacco, chocolate, and a hint of sappy flowers define the bouquet. It's medium to full-bodied, with a layered, elegant, weightless texture, plenty of tannins, and a great finish. This has everything you could want from a classic Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, and it should have 20-25 years of prime drinking. The tannins are beautifully managed for a Diamond Mountain Cabernet."
